Guest Lecturer:  Professor Katherine McKittrick, Department of Gender Studies at Queen's University

This presentation is divided into two parts.  In the first part I offer a confession and a reflection about geography, geographic knowledge, and race, considering how alternative spatial practices and black geographies are obscured by prevailing geographic knowledges.  The second part of the lecture focuses on my ongoing preoccupation with methodology and how radical methodologies are connected to practices of liberation, highlighting what black studies teaches about sharing and creating ideas.
