Awaiting for Men (En attendant les hommes) documents three women in Oualata, Mauritania, an oasis town on the far edge of the Sahara, where they practice traditional painting on the red walls of the city, and speak with candor about relationships between men and women.

Meleko Mokgosi Film Series In conjunction with Bread, Butter, and Power, artist Meleko Mokgosi has selected films that address colonialism, democracy, and liberation across the continent of Africa, themes he explores in his large-scale episodic painting cycles.
