Arnold Chin, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist dedicated to improving the lives of patients with urologic malignancies. Focused on bladder and prostate cancer, his research team studies how the immune system recognizes and modulates cancer growth, invasion and metastases, using both animal models as well as tumors from his patients.
In addition to being a member of the Broad Stem Cell Research Center at UCLA, Dr. Chin is also a member of UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, UCLA’s Institute of Urologic Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Urological Association.
An assistant professor of urology, Dr. Chin came to UCLA in 1995 when he enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program, which combines medical and doctoral degree work. He subsequently completed his residency training in urology at UCLA. Chin graduated from Princeton University with a degree in chemistry in 1995.
