Additional Information

An original and delightfully gruesome slasher film, 'Saint' re-imagines jolly old Saint Nick as a murderous bishop fulfilling a grisly prophecy under the December full moon. Packed with creative yuletide horror, 'Saint' is a fun chiller that follows local teen Frank as he sets out on a bloody, high-energy battle to save Amsterdam from the wrathful “Sinterklaas” and his minions.

"Keep your spirits high with this Netherland creation film as it is as fun to watch as it is creepy. A solid horror film promising to be the next icon, perhaps its time for St. Nicholas to take over. I loved every bit of this violent horror masterwork." -HorrorNews.Net. "Dick Maas knows how to set up decent scares and decent jokes, and both are well-represented here. A crowd-pleaser without pretentions." -Ard Vijn, TwitchFilm. "While the controversy revolves around Holland's St. Nick, Maas has crafted a great film in the vein of 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' and mixes it with some great stunts. It is clear why Dick Maas is truly one of the most underrated directors to come from the Netherlands." -Albert Valentin. Official Selection, Midnight, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Official Selection, Cinemania, Tribeca International Film Festival.

Director: Dick Maas. Starring: Huub Stapel, Egbert Jan Weeber, Caro Lenssen, and Madelief Blanken. Distributed by IFC Midnight. Blu-Ray, 95 min.
