Cultural Affairs Commission and Samahang Pilipino present EMPOWERMENT: An Exhibition of Pilipino American Strength As part of Pilipino American History Month, Samahang Pilipino and the Cultural Affairs Commission are proud to present an art gallery focusing on the strength within the Pilipino/Pilipino American community. Come see masterpieces from fellow students and community artists, portraying what empowers them as Pilipinos/Pilipino Americans. The opening night reception will be Thursday, October 20th from 6pm to 9pm with performances, refreshments, and guest speaker Rochelle Pellicer discussing the "Balikbayan Renaissance" experience, among other things. There will also be an interactive art piece in the gallery where you can share what empowers you an an individual. Please come enjoy the food, artwork, talks, and camaraderie!

The exhibit closes on October 29.
