Additional Information

One person in the USA is diagnosed with a blood cancer approximately every 3 minutes, and an estimated combined total of over 174,000 people in the US are expected to have been diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2018. New cases of leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma are expected to account for 10 percent of the estimated new cancer cases diagnosed in the US in 2018. In this lecture, Dr. Herbert Eradat discusses the different types of Leukemias and Lymphomas, standard treatment approaches, and the expanding novel therapeutics for these diseases, including CAR-T cell and bone Marrow Trasplant. Research is rapidly evolving as we learn more about the biology of each type of leukemia and Dr. Eradat will highlight several new, exciting therapies currently in clinical trials.
