Guest curator Donald Cosentino, professor emeritus from UCLA’s Department of World Arts and Cultures and curator of the acclaimed 1995 Fowler exhibition Sacred Arts of Haitian Vodou, offers an overview of the new exhibition In Extremis: Death and Life in 21st-Century Haitian Art.

Following his talk, Cosentino will be joined by photographer and curator Leah Gordon and Grande Rue visual artist André Eugène who will discuss the Atis Rezistans collective and current trends in Haitian art.

Our opening celebration follows from 6–8:30 pm.
