Additional Information

This ongoing series showcases treasures from the UCLA Film & Television Archive's extensive holdings, including deserving and rarely screened gems.

An Archive-restored, Ernst Lubitsch-directed double feature!

'The Love Parade' (1929) was Lubitsch's first talkie, a whimsical love story between a queen and an amorous diplomat.

In 'The Smiling Lieutenant' (1931), Maurice Chevalier is an Austrian officer who has the mixed good fortune to win the affections of two equally beautiful women (played by Claudette Colbert and Miriam Hopkins).
