Additional Information

'Airport' (1970): George Seaton’s adaptation of Arthur Hailey’s novel unites multiple plot lines and a star-studded cast in the story of an aircraft in peril and the ground crew bringing it safely home.

Produced by Ross Hunter in Todd-AO, the picture seethes with thoroughly modern melodrama about wrecked marriages and workplace romance. A box-office smash, 'Airport' launched the disaster franchise that would captivate moviegoers throughout the 1970s.
