Happenings now supports live calendar feeds for Google Calendar and Yahoo! Calendar. Follow these steps to receive live updates on your online calendar.
*We’ve updated the .ics calendar feeds address. Please refer to Happenings RSS page for the new URLs and update your feed.
Google Calendar Instructions
1)Select a Google Calendar subscription on the Happenings RSS page. Choose either 30 or 180 day subscription. *Subscribing to both sets will result in duplicate events appearing in your calendar.
2)Log into your Google Calendar account.
3)Under the “Other calendars” box on the left side of the page, click Add–>Add by URL

4)In the URL box, paste the subscription you chose in step 1. Enter only 1 calendar subscription at a time and click “Add Calendar”.

5)Wait a few seconds for Google Calendar to import the events. If 1 minute has passed and events do not appear, click the “Refresh” link directly above the calendar.

6)The newly subscribed calendar will appear in the “Other calendars” box. There are options to change the calendar name, set up reminders, change color, and embed codes. Please see Google Calendar’s help section for details.

Yahoo! Calendar Instructions
1)Select a Yahoo! Calendar subscription on the Happenings RSS page. Choose either 30 or 180 day subscription. *Subscribing to both sets will result in duplicate events appearing in your calendar.
2)Log into your Yahoo! Calendar account. *Works only with the latest version of Y! Calendar. http://switch.calendar.yahoo.com
3)In the “Calendars” listing, click the + button and choose “Subscribe to Calendar”

4)In the URL box, paste the subscription you chose in step 1. Enter only 1 calendar subscription at a time and click “Next”.

5)Edit the “Display as” field to describe your description and choose a color for your events. Do not edit the iCal Address. Click “Save” when finished.

6)The newly subscribed calendar will appear in the “Calendars” box. There are options to change the calendar name, set up reminders, change color, etc. You may need to refresh the calendar feed by clicking on the circular arrow symbol next to the calendar name.
