Welcome to the new Happenings.
We’ve combined the Campus Calendar and Happenings to create a central place to find events that are happening at UCLA. With this new version of Happenings, we wanted to make things simpler, cleaner and easier to use, so that you can find the events you want. We’ve added some new features and simplified the way we display events to you.
We approached this redesign as continuing evolution of Happenings and our work is by no means finished. We want to hear from you! What are your thoughts? What else would you like to see in Happenings? You can contact us or leave us a comment below.
We’ve listed some of the features below.
Selector Toolbar for Event Listings
You can display upcoming events within any section of Happenings (All Events, Sports, Arts, lectures) using our selector toolbar, which select events happening today, tomorrow, this weekend, the next 7 days, 30 days, or 180 days.

A More Powerful Search
Our search is now more powerful than ever. You’ll be able to find events that you are looking for easier and faster.

You can also use our advanced search to customize you search. Want to find a particular event within a given date range, or particular category? You can do it there!
Saving Events
In addition to saving any event to Facebook and Delicious, we’ve added iCal (Apple iCal) and vCal (Microsoft Outlook) support as well. Now you can save any event to your desktop calendars.

Calendar Widget
Want to find out what’s happening on a particular date? You can use our calendar widget to select events happenings on any given day. Simply select a day to view all the events that are happening on that day.

RSS Feeds
You can also subscribe to our RSS feeds to keep up to date with the latest events. There are RSS feeds for each section of the site.

About Happenings
Happenings is a collaboration between UCLA Communications and Public Outreach and UCLA Events Office. All listed events are authorized by UCLA Events Online.

Where is the academic calendar? I used this link to always get to this calendar; however, I cannot find it anymore.
Hi Dana,
The Academic Calendar link is under “Related Websites” on the right column of the home page of Happenings (http://happenings.ucla.edu). Here is the link as well: http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/calendar
Hi guys, first of all, thanks a lot for your recent effort to combine sites, the result looks good and is easy to use.
My concern is about the RSS feeds that are provided on the main page – they, for some reason, don’t display properly when added to the iGoogle homepage (google.com/ig). Maybe it’s the format, maybe something else… I’d be very happy to have such functionality working because I primarily use iGoogle to keep track of things.
Thanks again!
Never mind, after hitting “F5″ a few times, UCLA Happenings now show up in my iGoogle page… Which is legendary!
Lovin’ the new 180-day feature. That will be great for skimming ahead for possible articles in publications with a long lead time.
