Additional Information

Each year, CSA delivers a play that tells a story about a specific period of China. The 2017 Chinese Heritage Night features a drama, “Love in a Fallen City”, which is adapted from a famous Chinese novel of the same name written by Eileen Chang. It is set in 1940s Hong Kong and Shanghai where Liusu, divorced and desperate to get away from her family, meets Liuyuan, a playboy. She follows him to Hong Kong and begins an affair with him.

As the biggest annual event of CSA, the Chinese Heritage Night intends to give all students at UCLA, whether international or native, insights into the Chinese society. This event also aims to give students a different perspective of thinking and to bring diversity to the UCLA campus.
