Tad Hershorn (Rutgers Institute of Jazz Studies), author of Norman Granz: The Man who Used Jazz for Justic, explores a slice of jazz history through Granz's career and how he used jazz to combat racial prejudice. The afternoon features rare footage including the iconic short film, "Jammin' the Blues," clips of Jazz at the Philharmonic, Ella Fitzgerald and Art Tatum.
