Additional Information

Samahang Pilipino, in collaboration with Pan-Asian Queers, is putting on the Malaya Project with Barangay LA. The goal purpose of the Malaya Project is to capture and highlight the lives of various proud gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer Pilipin@s.

Our goals from displaying this project include spreading awareness to the UCLA community about the queer Pilipin@s community.

We also want to educate students about the struggles and the strengths of the Pilipin@s queers.

Lastly we want to get students involved with project and feel empowered in their own identity or as an ally.
