Additional Information

Denis Johnson is the author of nine novels, three collections of poetry, and one book of reportage. He is the recipient of a Lannan Fellowship and a Whiting Writer’s Award, among many other honors for his work.

His novella Train Dream was a New York Times Notable Book for 2011, one of The Economist’s 2011 Books of the Year, and one of NPR’s 10 Best Novels of 2011. He lives in Northern Idaho.

Complimentary coffee and tea served. A book signing will follow the reading.

Some Favorite Writers. This series of readings is organized by Mona Simpson, author of My Hollywood, Anywhere But Here, and Off Keck Road. Readings are followed by discussions with Simpson.

All Hammer public programs are free. Hammer members receive priority seating, subject to availability. Reservations not accepted, RSVPs not required.

Parking is available under the museum for $3 after 6:00pm.
