Additional Information

Offering a blueprint for aligning fragmented movements, this documentary follows a small group that came together across race, class, and gender lines to change the world and save one another’s lives. Archival footage and insightful interviews provide an on-the-ground perspective of ACT UP (the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) and its incredibly effective actions, which forced the US government and mainstream media to face the AIDS crisis. (2012, dir. Jim Hubbard, 93 min.)
