Beginning on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, as the community grapples with the death of Michael Brown, Do Not Resist offers a shocking look at the militarization of police forces in America. Viewers experience a ride-along with a SWAT team, a police training seminar about “righteous violence,” and a congressional hearing on the use of military equipment in small-town police departments. (2016, dir. Craig Atkinson, 72 min.)
Followed by a discussion with Black Lives Matter cofounder Patrisse Cullors.
