Souls on the Road (Japan, 1921) directed by Minoru Murata. The success of Intolerance in Japan in 1919 prompted production company Shochiku to take a more realistic approach with Souls on the Road, which crosscuts between stories of mercy and forgiveness, and is itself, now considered a milestone of early Japanese cinema.
Please note: tickets for the 3 p.m. screening of Intolerance may also be used for Souls on the Road.
