Additional Information

Directed by Hossein Shahabi.

A race against the clock thriller, The Bright Day weaves through the streets and back alleys of Tehran as a woman and her driver have six hours to track down a witness willing to testify in court to save a man’s life.

As details about the case and her motivations gradually emerge, so too does writer-director Hossein Shahabi’s sharp commentary on the meaning of justice and love in contemporary Iran.
