Additional Information

Park Dietz, MD, MPH, PhD, and Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA, is a forensic psychiatrist who has consulted or testified in many of the highest profile U.S. criminal cases including Jeffrey Dahmer, The Unabomber, the Beltway sniper attacks, and Jared Lee Loughner.

Dr. Dietz saw early in his career that much violent crime could be prevented with early intervention. He will describe a career-long quest to prevent violence within institutions, including great success in working with America’s largest corporations and frustration in trying to work with educational institutions, whose many constituencies create roadblocks to the protection of students.
